Role

Founded the Business Analytics Club at Kent State and served as its first President. Built the club from zero into an active student community in one semester.

Context

Kent State didn't have a student organization focused on data and analytics, so I started one. The goal was to bring together students who were passionate about data, analytics, and real world problem solving.

What I Did

Recruited the first members, set up the club structure, and ran 3 workshops on hands on data analytics tools and projects. Hosted a data visualization workshop in collaboration with Wolfram, led by Philéas Dazeley Gaist, where members learned how to turn complex data into clear visual insights. Built relationships with professors Dr. Ardakani and Dr. Patuwo who supported the club from the start.

Impact

The club grew to over 50 members in its first semester and was named Emerging Organization of the Year at the 2026 Kent State University Student Leadership Awards. What started as a new organization quickly turned into a strong and engaged community.

Role

Athletic Manager for Kent State Women's Basketball from my sophomore through senior year. Worked directly with the coaching staff on game prep and daily team operations.

Context

Completed operation work to keep the team running day to day, and analytics work to help the coaches prepare for opponents.

What I Did

Managed daily operations and made sure practices and games ran smoothly. Also played as a practice player, competing against the team to push them and make them better in practice. Used Synergy Sports to scout opponents and put together game plans to assist the coaching squad.

Impact

In my second year, the team made the March Madness tournament for the first time in over 20 years by winning the MAC tournament. Three full seasons of supporting the program and contributing to game preparation throughout the years.

Role

Selected to work the NCAA Basketball Academy and USA Club Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina with Grow the Game Inc.

Context

Grow the Game runs high level basketball events that bring together top college coaches and players from across the country. Working the event was a chance to manage outside of the Kent State system and connect with people across the basketball world.

What I Did

Helped run on site event operations across the weekend, working alongside other managers and coaches. Built relationships with managers, coaches, and players I hadn't crossed paths with before.

Impact

Expanded my management skills outside of a college program and built relationships across the basketball industry. Came home with a stronger network and broader experience than I had going in.
